Volunteers meet every Wednesday morning to tend the long border and tend the Walled Gardens and Long Border. There is plenty of work all year round!
The orchard is normally open Sunday afternoons from 2.00pm. Set up in 2009 on the site of a disused bowling green and cafeully nurtured by a group of dedicated volunteers. The apple trees provide an abundance of fruit each year - many of them old varieties. Regular free events throughout the year.
The conservatory volunteers regularly tend the plants and other features in this recently refurbished jewel. Open Sunday afternoons most of the year, come along and meet one of the team if you want to get involved.
Volunteers have helped to create diverse habitats around the park - welnds, widlife pond, wild flower meadows and a growing space. email info@fobp.org if you are interested in getting involved.
Throughout the summer months volunteers organise a wide range of events including theatre, live music and family fun activities. The Palmers Green Festival is the biggest community event in the area.

A dedicated volunteer team, loyal customer base and thriving partnerships continue to generate surplus for reinvestment into park wellbeing projects. But above all, we are proud of the difference we’ve made and continue to make - a positive impact on people’s lives, Broomfield Park and Palmers Green.
