Trees in the Broomfield Park - what we are doing and plans for the future
Broomfield has a magnificent collection of trees.
Some are getting a bit past it and need to be replaced, but we are planting more trees to make a contribution to a greener world.
Long term Plan to Improve the Landscape:
- engagement with the community, including schools and Enfield Climate Action Forum (EnCaf)
- identify structural planting to replace trees lost to disease and storms
- continue planting native hedgerow around the edge of the Park
- identify scope for new tree planting
- create a tree nursery
- crowdfunding and grant application
