Latest on the Boating Pond

Work begins on repairing the base of the boating pond

  • Work is progressing to replace the borehole pump and to repair the pond base and pipework to provide a supply of fresh water to the boating pond. 
  • The crane laying mat and the access way for the crane is now complete.
  • Joint sealing of the concrete slabs in the pond is underway. Some slab replacement of the pond base will be necessary.
  • A crane is lifting the borehole pump and rising main out of the borehole.
  • A Geotechnical survey will be carried out shortly and then develop the pump and rising main specification.
