Enfield Conservation Volunteers carry out practical conservation work in Enfield's parks and countryside on alternate Sundays. An opportunity to gain experience in traditional crafts such as hedge laying, coppicing, bridge building and path construction. No experience is necessary as training will be provided. Palmers Green Festival developed from a group of community-spirited local residents coming together in Spring 2012 with the idea of organising a one-day party in Broomfield Park. The aim was to bring together and celebrate the diverse cultures around Palmers Green. The positive reaction to the Festivals in 2012 and 2013 was overwhelming, and the plan now is to stage an annual event which unites our local community.
An entirely volunteer-run community website for the Bowes Park and Bounds Green Neighbourhoods, providing a considerable amount of information, not only about Bowes and Bounds, but also about adjacent areas, including Palmers Green. There is an active forum discussing local issues.
BHORA was established in 1929 to serve the interests of the local community by organising social events, as well as by tackling aspects of local life such as health, transport, and so on. The Association is non-political and non-commercial. It covers the area from the Haringey boundary at Bounds Green up to Broomfield Park and from (east to west) Green Lanes over towards Arnos Grove.

Arnos Park is only a few minutes walk from the South Western extremity of Broomfield Park, but is very different in its shape, topography and nature. The Pymmes Brook runs along the entire length of the Park and the far end features an impressive brick viaduct carrying the Piccadilly Line between Arnos Grove and Southgate stations.
Bush Hill Park (the park) is located to the south of Southbury Road, in the north eastern corner of Bush Hill Park (the area). The Friends have achieved a number of improvements: an upgrade to the toilets, new park gates and a Wildlife Garden.
Friends of Forty Hall Park are a group of volunteers who try to play a vital role in enhancing and protecting our green space in the Forty Hall Estate. The group works alongside the Council to help make sure Forty Hall Park is a pleasure for people to visit..
Friends of Pymmes Park are a team of volunteers who love Pymmes Park so much that they give their time freely to ensure the health and welbeing of the park is maintained and made safe for the many animals as well as the various people who enjoy it.
Woodside Park, in Wood Green High Road, just to the south of Palmers Green, contains two historic buildings: Woodside House (formerly Wood Green Town Hall) and the Mushroom House, which was formerly the lodge to Chitts Hill House.
N21.net is a community based website for the London postal code N21. This covers the Winchmore Hill, Grange Park and Highlands wards of the London Borough of Enfield. It carries a large amount of information about activities and businesses in the N21 postcode and surrounding areas, much of it contributed by its users.
The New Southgate Millennium Green is a public open space owned and operated by a charitable trust. It is one of 245 such greens throughout England, created to celebrate the turn of the Millennium. The land is unfenced and is open to the public at all times. The small (1.4 acre) site forms a quiet, hedged-in haven with mown grassland for recreation; wild, untouched areas in the trees, adding to the wide range of habitats; formal gardens and a central paved area with a sculpture children can play on.
The Trust's activities cover Southgate, New Southgate, Palmers Green, Winchmore Hill, Cockfosters, Oakwood and Hadley Wood. Its objectives are to conserve and enhance the best aspects of our district and encourage interest in its character; promote the physical improvement of the area and campaign actively against its deterioration through neglect or adverse proposals; support those features of social, economic and physical change which enhance community life; and provide the opportunity for the interchange of views and discussion on local environmental issues .
A registered charity which helps plants trees in streets, around schools and in parks and campaigns against unnecessary or inappropriate loss of trees.
The Turst works in partnership with Haringey Council and has forged links with local Friends of Parks groups and tenants' and residents' associations.

Throughout the year we have regular association meetings and talks as well as training courses and study groups designed to suit various levels of ability for complete beginners to the more experienced beekeeper.
Many of our events are for beekeepers, however some will also be of interest to non-beekeepers, particularly our annual honey show. If you are interested in beekeeping and want to know more, come along to one of our association meetings.
Woodcroft Wildspace is delighted to have been awarded not one but three awards in the 2018 Enfield in Bloom Awards.
In the “Best Exceptional Horticultural Contribution for the Local Community” category, we won two awards. The new entrance in Downes Court won a Bronze with the aid of an award for the plants from Greggs the bakers under their “greener with Greggs” scheme and a huge effort by the volunteers to keep them all watered through the scorching hot summer.

Talkies is a not-for-profit and volunteer-led community cinema, based in the Palmers Green, Bounds Green, Southgate and Winchmore Hill areas of North London. Talkies supports our communities by organising pop-up film events at a range of venues. We encourage people to come together to make new connections and meet up with friends. We aim to provide at least one event a month within the locality.
Broomfield Park Tennis League is a mixed singles league, which divides players into groups of six to eight players of similar standard. New joiners must wait until the start of the next round before playing (there are four rounds a year).

The restored Broomfield House would be enjoyed as a heritage and learning centre, a place which schools can use to bring history alive, and a venue to display artworks and other collections. It would offer a café, community meeting rooms and events, serving as a much needed social hub.

Fox Lane & District Residents' Association
The Fox Lane and District Residents’ Association (FLDRA) was formed in 1978 and is the sole voluntary body representing the interests of residents living within the area bounded by Bourne Hill, The Bourne, High Street, Cannon Hill, Aldermans Hill and Green Lanes. A total of around 3500 households, of which more than 560 households are currently members.
Firs Farm Park, the area to the south of Firs Lane, is used as playing fields. Enfield Council is just finishing off Phase One of a river restoration project, which has involved the creation of an open stream in the northern part of the park, which had previously run underground. This is being done to improve an existing flood defence bund on the eastern boundary. There will be a second phase of work in 2015, which will provide additional crossing points and wetland features. None of this work adversely affects the sports pitches, but should make this green space more aesthetically pleasing, once the new wetland vegetation becomes naturalised.
What is now Grovelands Park was laid out by the celebrated landscape designer Humphrey Repton in the late 18th Century for the 3rd Duke of Chandos. In 2013 the Friends will be celebrating its conversion into a public park.
Hilly Fields, in the north west of Enfield, certainly deserves its name. The Friends of Hilly Fields grew out of a successful campaign to prevent demolition of the park's celebrated bandstand.
Parks and Open Spaces
N21online.com was set up in 2009 by Helen Osman as a community portal for Grange Park, Highlands Village and Grange Hill. It focuses on interpersonal connection in the age of the Internet, promoting the Green Agenda and helping run businesses, charities and other not-for-profit groups in the Age of Austerity.
The Association promotes the preservation of the historical features of the local environment in the Southgate Green Conservation Area. The website is a source of information about local history and the most remarkable local buildings.
