The Palmers Greenery Community Cafe

Feeding community spirit

We are a volunteer-powered community cafe that reinvests our profit into park enhancing projects. Since September 2021 we have:

  • Welcomed 10 new volunteers to the team
  • Developed a partnership with LBE EQUALS team to provide work assessments for adults with additional needs
  • Resumed our Learning for Life partnership with West Lea School Y11 pupils
  • Celebrated local talent with live music events
  • Worked with FoBP and PGAT with a Community Litter Pick
  • Invested £7k to deliver:
  • FoBP’s partnership activities to improve the Community Growing Space
  • 5 Free Community Mosaic Workshops
  • A Cooking Session for West Lea pupils
  • In 2023 we will continue our focus on improving waste and recycling infrastructure around the cafe and in Broomfield Park more generally
